Wedding Wednesdays: Your “Wedding Bible”

Hello Beautiful Bride! So very excited to get this wedding planning started! Here we go! We are going to jump into Step One and my first post of my Wedding Wednesdays series.

Because I knew I was short on time, I immediately got myself a wedding planner that could organize everything I needed to get done, it literally was my “wedding bible”! I loved being able to write things down, save color swatches, tear pages out of wedding magazines to save for ideas. Not to mention…(wedding saving hack here) this simple and ahhhhmazzing book saves you hundreds if not thousands of dollars on hiring a professional wedding planner. So if you like having an actual book/binder to carry with you, I highly recommend The Wedding Planner & Organizer By Mindy Weiss. Not only is she the wedding planning guru but she’s also worked with celebrities including Ellen DeGeneres, Sofia Vergara, and Channing Tatum. You can find this at your local Barnes & Noble or on Amazon for less than $20 bucks!

If you’d prefer paperless and would like to access your wedding planning tools right on your phone, I always recommend using one of the online wedding planners like TheKnot.com (my personal favorite), weddingwire.com, or zola.com. These are great because not only can you download them directly onto your phone as an app, but they also help manage guest lists, keep track of your budget, and gives you the option to set up a Honeymoon cash fund that your guests can directly deposit into, because lets be honest…no one wants multiple blenders or toasters. These handy online wedding tools also let you bring your engagement and love story to life by sharing with your guests how you and your fiance met, how he proposed, and the option to post pictures of you two lovebirds! It’s your own personal wedding website.

Another good one… Pinterest! This became my BEST FRIEND for wedding planning ideas. But as a Bride-To-Be, that’s probably the first place you immediately went to check out wedding ideas right!? I suggest making different boards to save for each category. (Wedding dresses, flower arrangements, bridesmaid dresses, color themes, etc.). That way it’s an extra little step in just keeping everything organized.

Once you get yourself some sort of wedding planner, whether it be a book or online website, you’ll already be on the right track to feeling organized and stress free because you’ll know exactly what step you’ll need to do next…which brings us to Step Two: Budget! Tune in next week love for Wedding Wednesdays! Can’t wait to go over this sometimes not so easy process with ya’ll to ensure it’s easy peezy lemon squeezy…with maybe even having more money left over than you even anticipated.

XoXo
